I have been a Federal Law Enforcement Officer for the past four years and prior to that I was a police officer for 9 years. I thought I was an okay shot until two years ago when I first attended AP-1. I quickly learned there was a lot I had not been taught. Since taking AP-1 my scores have jumped dramatically on my quartely firearms qualifcation. Six points to go till I have a perfect 300. Len is an excellent teacher. Last month I audited AP-1 with some buddies from work and learned even more than I did the first time. Len can analyze what a shooter is doing incorrectly and quickly correct them to get the best performance from that shooter. I look forward to auditing AP-1 then moving on to AP-2. I highly recommned Len as an instructor. Especially if your life depends on it. |

THANK YOU LEN!!! I am a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, (RELAX YOUR GRIP, BUTTHEAD!!! Slack out, BANG!!) Former Border Patrol Agent and FLETC/USBP Firearms Instructor. I shot my FIRST match 10 years ago,(RELAX YOUR GRIP, BUTTHEAD!!! Slack out, BANG!!) 2 Days before I left for the Border Patrol. I shot in the top 3% for my 5 years (RELAX YOUR GRIP, BUTTHEAD!!! Slack out, BANG!!) at the Border Patrol station and have competed in Tactical Matches, the odd IDPA match here and there (RELAX YOUR GRIP, BUTTHEAD!!! Slack out, BANG!!), and thought myself as a respectable shooter. Twenty minutes into Len's API class, I learned that I have been missing CRUCIAL elements in my shooting. (RELAX YOUR GRIP, BUTTHEAD!!! Slack out, BANG!!) Are we seeing a pattern develop here?? I want to thank Len and Leonard for the time spent in both improving my shooting and removing my head from my Fourth Point of Contact. I am eager to audit the class again and continue on to APII. Many instructors can Tell you what to do,when and how to do it, but few can actually T-E-A-C-H. Well worth the time and money. Len shows a real joy of teaching, taking an exuberant, yet somewhat perverse pleasure in motivating one to strive for that little bit more...that next step in the shooter's growth---When you reach it, then surpass it, you feel it too. Thanks guys!! ------Oh, and I am waiting for the dates for the o-t-h-e-r class we spoke of in hushed, yet juvenile tones at lunch. (hee hee...) |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just finished the Flashlight training class, and it was great. I have been carrying this really cool flashlight around for several years, (surefire) but I really wouldn't have known what to do with it except hold the light with my week hand, and shoot strong hand. Which does work, just very slow. Now I feel very comfortable drawing, shooting, moving, and reloading with the flashlight. I highly recommend this class for anyone who might have to shoot in the dark. Which really is pretty much everyone ! | After taking the APII class my scores in competition have been much better. I was amazed at how much I had missed while watching better shooters shoot and move. The little small details can make so much difference in your scores. Be sure and wear your running shoes, this is a grueling class. You will be sore when you get through. |

I'm thrilled and privileged to be a new member at the TDSA range! Len gave my visiting brother (he's going back to Ft. Benning in a week) and I the grand tour and qualed me on rifle. Then came my big moment (right in front of my Army twin brother): I was about to find out what would happen if I drew and fired... for the first time. I'm coming from a Bass Pro and DFW gun range experience base, where extremely constraining rules are supposed to keep everybody safe. I'm the kind of guy who has been yearning for the freedom to draw, move, lay down, whatever, and I'll earn that freedom by following Len's few simple rules and having the constant individual excellence and awareness to keep everybody safe. Glock 23 (SSP) holstered , I approached on one of Len's cardboard bad guys, which I'd stapled up on the rubber mat. I've had a voice inside of me (put there by a good CHL instructor back in May 2005) telling me I ought not to even carry if I don't practice and get more training. Here was my big chance to see what would happen if I drew and fired on a simulated attacker about 15 ft. away. First draw and shoot ever... I draw (good grip?... not sure), quick aim, double tap: hit on right shoulder, right hand! Maybe misses in a real situation. Reset, draw 2... double tap: only the second shot shows up on the bad guy. A bullet just got away that may have... (oh s$%t!). What a beginner I am and I've come to the right place. I'm still going to carry, but have a good idea about what I can (cannot) confidently do in a real situation. With everybody raving about the AP 1 course, I'll be watching for it like a hawk. In the meantime, I'll be working basic skills and rubbing shoulders with more pros like the two gentlemen I met my first day there, who talked with me and my bro for hours about shooting and their weapon-related career experiences. Thanks, Len, for making this kind of range and this kind of learning enviornment and reality. Sincerely, Tom Mellin |

I attended TDSA last weekend. (AP1) The other reviews are on the mark and I don't what I can add, other than to reinforce their comments. TDSA's personal attention and video feedback is priceless. I recommend them to anyone wanting no-nonsense training by instructors that teach solid fundamentals without the crapola. Also, you can re-take the course a second time (tune-up) at a huge discount. You are given a practical shooting test when you arrive and again mid-way through the second day. I personally increased my proficiency by 47%. I have never learned so much for so little $. |

| When I was getting ready to take AP1 I was wondering if I could really benefit from taking the class. After all I thought, I was a pretty good shooter. It took me about 30 minutes to realize how foolish I had been. At the end of those two days I had improved almost 40% After one hour, I shot 25 shots, 23 of those shots went into one hole !! It took me several months to break bad habits I had developed, and make the new technics 2nd nature. About 8 or 9 months later I took AP1 again to fine tune what I had learned. If you want to learn to shoot FAST and ACCURATELY this is the class you want to take. |

| Just finished T.D.S.A. Tulsa API/II. Talk about information overload. Four days of the best instruction stuffed into two of the most beautiful days to be on a range in Oklahoma. Not a class for the weak of heart, and really hard on us fat boys. I want to thank Marshall and Eric for for all their hard work, and the dedication to teach me to love it the way they do! Once again this is not a class for light weights, so go for it! |

I THOUGHT I COULD SHOT WELL BEFORE THE CLASS, I WOULD READ/STUDY OTHERS TOOK THE FIRE ARMS COURSE AT GLENCO GA. FOR THE DEPT OF FEDERAL PRISION, BUT I KNEW I NEEDED MORE TRAINING. I MET LEN THE MAIN INSTRUCTOR AT A LOCAL EVENT IN DALLAS,HEARD HIM TALK TO OTHERS AND THOUGHT I COULD IMPROVE MY SHOOTING BY TAKING HIS PISTOL COURSE. AFTER TAKING THE COURSE THIS PAST WEEKEND I NOW KNOW I DID NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT HOW TO SHOOT CORRECTLY, MY TIMES/RELOADING IMPROVED 49% IN 2 DAYS I SHOT 1100 ROUNDS OF 9MM. I HAVE BEEN TOUGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME HOW TO CORRECTLY HANDLE/SHOOT A PISTOL. |

I just finished taking the APII class at TDSA Dallas this weekend. I had already taken AP1 twice before and was wanting to improve my ability to shoot on the move and while moving. At the end of the first day, my improvement was a staggering 46%. I was more efficient in my movements and was able to shoot much more accurately while moving. If you want to improve your competetive shooting ir if you want to become a better defensive shooter, I cannot recommend this class and others from TDSA Dallas. Len did an outstanding job as usual at fine tuning the skills of the individual and talioring the teaching and techniques to the individual student, while still conveying the total package to everyone. You need to take this class, trust me. |

THE CLASS WAS DONE IN A LIGHT ENVIROMENT SO THAT LEARNING WAS EASIER TO GRASP. THE TECHNIQUES TAUGHT ARE PRICELESS TO THOSE IN AND AROUND LAW ENFORCEMENT. THE TRAINING GIVES YOU A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF CONFIDENCE IN YOUR ABILITY AND ACCURACY. THANKS AGAIN! |

| I would like to say that the Advanced Combat Pistol Level I Course was, HANDS DOWN, the best handgun course I've ever been involved in. I would also like to add that I am a professional Firearms Instructor! After 2 days of the very helpful, very accurate and very effective coaching I received from Marshall, Shane, Travis and especially Vince - - - My pistol skills have gone up an order of magnitude from what they were when I started shooting Saturday morning. Thanks again, TDSA, now MY students will be better as well! By the way - - - when is the next Advanced Combat Pistol II course? |

These folks want to teach you. and do. With there teaching and help i am now ready to enter in any IDPA competion I want. I will continue to retake this course as well as others to sharpen my skills. I have seen champion shooters taking this course to resharpen their skills. If it is good enough for them It is for me also. If you get the chance, go for it |

My shooting improved 39% in one weekend. I could not believe how much time I was waisting moving from one barricade to another. The best thing about taking a class from tdsa is they video you while you shoot to show you the mistakes you are making and they make sure you are doing everyting perfectly before you leave. This class is well worth the time and money. |

Just finished APII for the second time. I've taken so many classes with Marshall and his crew that I quit counting. I'll continue to take classes as shooting is a "perishable skill." I consider Marshall and all the other instructors as friends. Having taken so many classes with them, it would be easy for them to dismiss me and say something like "come on Allen I know you can do it right...work on it." But they don't, they attend to me just like any other student. If I'm having trouble with something, I get one on one personal instruction...no matter how many times I've asked for help or done it perfect in the past. I'm simply a citizen that loves to shoot and wants to know how to do it correctly. I'm very proficeint with a handgun, rifle or shotgun. Yet, I always leave the classes feeling more comfortable with my abilities. I'm also amazed with Marshall's desire and intensity. He's never satisfied. He's always looking for ways to improve himself and his classes. Suggestions are always received with full attention. Can't wait for the next class...whatever it may be. Thanks to everyone, Allen |

I had been looking for an APII class for several months. After the schedule diminished in Dallas, I decided to travel to TDSA, Tulsa last weekend to train with Marshall and the boys. First, of all this was an awesome class. There were many techniques I had tried to work out on my own that were simply taught and then drilled to perfection in this class. I know this will benefit me in competition as did the API class. I would highly recommend this class and API for anyone interested in improving their IDPA skills. Billy and Sam were an excellent addition to this class as everyone brings something that can improve someone else. Thanks for the excellent instruction and the sincere sense of professionalism. ps Before you come to this class be sure to condition your lower legs (quads, etc). Slack out. |

| First I want to thank Marshall and Wade for putting on a great class. The instructors were top notch and safety always first. I don't think you will find any other class that will teach you so much for such a great price. I came away from the class handling my carbine with much more confidence and more importantly much more versitility. No matter what your skill level to begin with they had everyone working together in the same drills in no time. And again, no matter what your skill level, everyone came away with improved skills. I highly recommend this class to anyone who uses a carbine. I intend on returning to this class and also taking the pistol classes. Great job TDSA Tulsa!! |

I have taken this class twice now and will take it again as well as sponsor my brothers who are in the military to this class. Thank you Marshall and Wade |

Had a great weekend in Tulsa with Marshall and Wade at the Urban Tactical Rifle Course! These guys are sharp, professional and fun, best of all, they don't have an attitude (even though they probably deserve to have one). I learned much more than I expected and greatly improved my shooting and weapon handeling skills, I even became very comfortable shooting from my "uneducated" side. Watching the guys in our class who had previously taken the Advanced Pistol class during the rifle/pistol transitions, I decided I need to take that class next. Those guys flew! Thanks again guys I will be back! |

First off let me just say thanks to Marshall and Wade for putting on a first rate and very safe class. The Urban Rifle course has been the most demanding course that I have taken from TDSA so far. This made the 3rd one i have attended and I feel they are still refining this one to meet the needs of both the course of instruction as well as the students. Marshall was on top of the saftey of the range while taking somewhat of a back seat to the instruction this time. Wade was great for both the law enforcment and the civilian who just wanted to be more proficiant with his AR. The first day may seem kind of slow but it was needed to make sure the rest of the class you were prepared. Now day 2 Hold on "It's On Baby". They came up with many drills that will both challenge your mind as well as body, be prepared. I now feel like my AR is an extension of my body to be used as a tool if need be. As always you guys a TDSA put on a fantastic course and Marshall I can't say enough about you and your staff as for the drive to teach. I will see you at the next AP2 and I will be at the next Urban Rifle class you offer. Oh by the way "whooaa" jsut for you Wade.. Jeff |

I just finished the Urban Assault Rifle class in Tulsa. I've been to several of Marshall's pistol classes and will continue to attend them. I'm sure I'll attend the next Assault Rifle class as well. Marshall and Wade exercised our minds, bodies and taught us more information than most people can store in 2 days...that's why I'll be going back. It has also been my experience that the 2nd time is better. It seems to me that you're not "learning" the 2nd time...you are working on perfecting what you have already learned. As always, the class was safe. I never felt afraid of an exercise or drill because of a safety issue. Thank you Marshall & Wade I had a great time and learned a ton. See you very soon, Allen |

IMPROVED MORE IN '10 MINUTES' THAN A YEARS WORTH OF HARD PRACTICE! I'm a guy that shoots pistol often and doesn't impress easily but this course was better than money in the bank. I just completed the Advaced Pistol Course #1 at TDSA. This two day course is a 'must do' for all people that are serious about real measurable improvement in their hangun skill . The cost is one of the least expensive in the national and measurable results are documented and disected on digtal video. If you've shot 50 IDPA matches and you take the course with your wife that has never touched a pistol you will both be as impressed with the skills you develop. If you expect to be preached to by an egocentric drill instructor with no sense of humor then go someplace else. The atmosphere here makes learning fun while your handgun becomes a common sense extention of your body. I could go on but suffice it to say that I became a measurable 43% faster and more accurate with basic skills that are invaluable. Thank you Len Baxley and TDSA. |

I had a tremendous weekend attending the Advanced Combat Pistol Course – Level I on Oct. 9 & 10 with Marshall Luton and his exceptional staff at Tulsa TDSA. Even though I had taken their Ladies Class in May of this year, and have been shooting in IDPA and IPSC club matches all of this year I was apprehensive when my husband asked me to attend the class with him. I was afraid that the class would be way past my abilities. But, I agreed to attend because I want to be a better shooter. I have no regrets!! It was an awesome learning experience which I intend to repeat next year and follow it with the Advanced Combat Pistol Course – Level II . Marshall and his staff do a wonderful job of teaching techniques that will enable anyone to be a better shooter, and a safer shooter, whether it’s for your job, or just to improve your skills as a pistol shooter for your personal satisfaction. The entire staff explain then demonstrate each concept that they teach, to show you that it can be done! Then everyone gets an opportunity to put into practice what they just saw and the instructors help you to achieve that concept. I liked the fact that all the instructors rotated from person to person during the shooting drills, each one always had constructive praise and suggestions to help you to further improve your skill. The student/instructor ratio allows them to help everyone on a individual and group basis so that everyone leaves the school with a feeling of pride and accomplishment in their shooting skills. I achieved a 34% improvement in my shooting skills and accuracy with the guidance and tutelage of the instructors at Tulsa TDSA. I would not hesitate to recommend this class to anyone with the desire to be a safer and better shooter. I intend to practice, practice, practice what I learned this weekend with the intention and determination to improve my skills even more. Linda Dunlavy This was my second trip to AP1 and I came away with twice as much knowledge compared to my first trip. The first time there was such an info dump it was hard to assimilate. This time around I knew what to expect and could pay more and better attention to the instructors. There was new info that wasn’t in the last class. Marshall and his troops add new “stuff” to the program as they learn new techniques so the teaching process is never static. YOU WILL LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY TIME YOU TAKE THE CLASS. The instructors will help you in any way that they see you need it or in any way you tell them you need help. They do it with out making you feel like a dummy. You won’t find any better instructors than Marshall and his troops. My wife and I took this class together. It worked out really well. We were instructed on our own levels with out it causing any stress, in fact it was a really fun experience. I recommend it for any couple. I could go on and on but it is not necessary. If you are going to carry or use a pistol it is your responsibility to get some training and TDSA is the right place to go. Randy Dunlavy |

I just completed the TDSA Advanced Pistol I. Course. I am 64 years of age and have been shooting for 50 years. No one has ever instructed me on how to properly grip a pistol, what stance to use, how to pull a trigger, align the sights and hit the target. Our group met in the training room at 0800 Saturday. After a little paperwork and introductions of the staff, along came TDSA's first order of business which is SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY. We had no accidental discharges or unsafe acts during our two day course. Next we went to the range where we were given a pre-test which consisted of shooting at steel targets, reloading and shooting again. During this pre-test we were timed. I had 14.99 seconds with 8 misses. Upon completion of the course we were given our final test and I ended up 11.23 seconds with one miss--a near 36% improvement! The students came from all walks of life. There were a couple of competition shooters in the class who shot the final test in less than 5 seconds with zero misses. They shaved 2 seconds off their original time and had a 30 percent improvement. There were also a few return students who improved even more and stated they will be back. I cannot say enough good about Marshall and his staff. They were on the line in the rain instructing and building our confidence. Never did I see even the remotest sign of any discourtesy, frustration (they hide it well) or a "I know it all" attitude. They know what it is all about and are determined to give you everything they have. When you leave, it is up to you to take what you have learned and use it. I plan on returning for additional training. I would be more than happy to answer any questions about my experience with TDSA. Do yourself a big service---take the course. |

I just returned from the October session of the TDSA Tulsa school, and might I say this was THE most influential and successful shooting school I have ever attended. Throughout my shooting career, I have attended many classes such as Todd Jarret's course and Camp Shootout. While these were top notch experiences that greatly improved my shooting, none compare to the atmosphere and level of instruction I received from TDSA Tulsa. I came to the school not knowing what to expect. I was an A class competition shooter with 1750 rounds and an open mind. To be honest, I was really surprised to find that Marshall and the other instructors improved my shooting ability by 30% during the two day school. Thinking it would be an introductory class that reaffirmed the skills of a basic shooter, I was extremely impressed with the custom instruction I was given. I accredit this 100% to the many instructors in charge of the class. Not only was the student/teacher ratio 4:1, but the instructors rotated throughout the course of each exercise so each student got the benefit of many different styles and views of the material being taught. But don't think this made it confusing! If a student had trouble grasping ANY part of a lesson or exercise, the instructors tailored an explanation specifically to their needs, until the material was completely understood. In a nutshell- TDSA Tulsa was the most productive experience I have ever been a part of in my entire shooting career. I can positively say it was money well spent. I have NO second thoughts about attending the school. In fact, I plan to attend it again in the spring to improve even more! No matter what your skill level, firearms experience, or comfort level with your shooting capabilities, TDSA Tulsa can cater to your needs and customize a training session that will improve your shooting in ways you have never known. GO FOR IT! |

After finishing the API class this last weekend, I can't rave enough about the class and instructors. The hands-on experience with the new techniques taught was incredible. I improved 57% from when I arrived!! If that doesn't speak volumes - I don't know what does. I had shot guns before (pistols and shotguns), but nothing compared to the insight and valuable knowledge these first rate instructors shared. It's truly amazing - - the techniques they teach you, how each instructor can adapt to every indivudual and their specific needs. Self-improvement & better gun-handling techniques were all taught over the last 2 days. The value of this class is tremendous!! This is definately a class that I will take again!! Kudos to TDSA's awesome staff!! |

I just finished my 4th API class. No, I'm not slow or unable to shoot a handgun. In fact, I've been shooting for years. I'm a state champion at skeet, I've won several trophies at trap. I've never tried my hand at pistol competition but, I've always carried a handgun, and have been able to shoot quite well with one. Marshall is a good friend of mine and I can't thank him, or his staff, enough for what they have taught me. In 2 weeks I'm taking the Urban Assault Rifle Class and 2 weeks after that I'm taking APII for the second time. The best thing I can say is that multiple classes have given me the opportunity to work on perfecting what TDSA teaches...not just "learn new techniques". Marshall and his entire staff are incredible as a whole and as individuals. They have the ability to connect with the students and relay their message in an understandable and realistic approach. Thanks to everybody, again and again and again, you haven't seen the last of me. Thanks, Allen Hood |

| I would like to preface this by saying that I received a serious injury back in May that I thought might prevent me from ever shooting again, but thankfully it has started healing. I was somewhat reluctant to jump into a training class, but I felt that extra effort was made to help me out and encourage me. I think that this class was important for me to attend as part of being a responsible concealed carry permit holder. Training criteria was very organized into a "building block" scenario, with no time wasted. However, it was also an extremely friendly, comfortable atmosphere with a lot of one-on-one instruction. The trainers were all very professional, and there was a tremendous emphasis on safety at all times. Instruction was filled with "real life" examples of why techniques were applicable and important. Whether you are a civilian or in law enforcement, this training is invaluable and well worth the time . . . but come prepared to work! I guess the best evidence of how I felt about this course is that I can't wait to take all the other courses offered. And last but not least, thanks a million Marshall for an outstanding training experience! |

I've been to many shooting schools, totaling several thousand dollars. I've never seen these concepts taught anywhere. Marshall and his instructors, through their example and teaching, brought out of me a 30-40% increase in speed and accuracy. Several others in my class also had such dramatic improvement. Additionally, they gave me the means to self-improvement. You could spend twice as much on shooting classes and not get a third of what I learned in that one class. Thanks, Marshall! |

On October 9 & 10 I had the pleasure of attending TDSA's Advanced Combat Pistol I school at the Sand Springs range. Rapid improvement. That is the mark of quality instruction. The information I received in two days at TDSA Tulsa is immediately applicable. The proof is in the pudding....or is that shooting!!! And it showed in the final results. Safety was paramount throughout the class, as it should be. But the staff still let everybody enjoy it to the extreme. These guys are true professionals. The course used a building block approach that was easy to follow and works. Not a bunch demos showing how good the instructors are and telling you to go home and practice so you might be some day. This was the first shooting course I have ever taken and it won't be the last from TDSA Tulsa. It doesn't take much of an open mind to see that what is taught works. So no matter what level you shoot at this is a great course. Just be prepared to shoot!!! Better than you ever have. |

It's not enough to say that Marshall's training is the best value in combat firearms instruction today (it is). The important thing is that TDSA Tulsa teaches skills that you can't find anywhere else at any price. I've spent thousands of dollars at other schools learning second best techniques (e.g. "ride the reset"--WRONG!). I prefer not to be second best in a gunfight. Why have I not heard this information before? It's like I've been stumbling around in the dark for years, having to rely on pointless trial and error, and flat out bad advice. It's as if Marshall turned on the light. I'm actually p.o.'d that I've wasted so much time. Instead of having struggled to B class, there's no doubt in my mind that if I go on to take AP 2, I can be an A class shooter, or better, if I take the time to incorporate the new techniques I learned at TDSA. Marshall and his team of instructors (check out their qualifications--unbelievable) exude professionalism and confidence. Guess what? Quite a bit of that will rub off on everyone who is serious enough to invest the modest amount of time and money to attend one of his classes. |

| Hey everybody! Just wanted to provide some feedback on the Ladies Only class that I recently participated in. I first met Marshall at the Tulsa gun show in August. He told me about a class that he was offering that would teach me how to handle and shoot a gun safely, and to top it off, it was a ladies only class. Walking into the class, I didn't know a thing about guns or shooting, but by the time I left, I felt confident about loading and shooting a gun and saying things like "slack-out." Marshall and the guys (Sam and Shane) instantly put me at ease and I found the class to be not only interesting and informative but also LOADS OF FUN!!! Marshall is AWESOME and very patient! The class was laid-back and at no time did any of the guys make me feel stupid for not knowing anything. I HIGHLY recommend this class to everyone, well ladies at least, and am so thankful to the guys for everything!!! Keep up the good work and can't wait to see you again!! |

WOW! WHAT A GREAT COURSE! I CAN'T GET OVER THE AMOUNT OF INFO I GOT (AND RETAINED) FROM YOUR CARBINE URBAN RIFLE COURSE. I AM A U.S SOLDIER THAT JUST RECENTLY GOT BACK FROM AFGHANISTAN. I THOUGHT AFTER FIGHTING THE WAR ON TERORRISM FOR ALMOST A YEAR IN HOSTILE COUNTRY, THAT I DIDN'T NEED ANY "RIFLE" TRAINNING. AFTER MARSHALL'S INVITE OF "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT OR DON'T LEARN ANYTHING DON'T PAY US" I THOUGHT I COULD ALWAYS USE SOME TRIGGER TIME. WELL, TO MY SURPRISE AND ENJOYMENT THE INSTRUCTOR'S WADE RORICH AND BILLY SMITH WERE, TO SAY THE LEAST, "OUTSTANDING!!" I WISH WE RECIEVED THIS KIND OF TRAINING IN THE INFANTRY. THE TWO MAIN THINGS THAT STUCK IN MY HEAD WERE THE ECONOMY OF MOTION AND VIOLENCE OF ACTION. I WOULD REALLY ENJOY MORE CLASSES LIKE THESE. I WILL BE ATTENDING MANY MORE TO IMPROVE MY SKILLS. THANKS MARSHALL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY AND THE GREAT THINGS YOU DO FOR GUYS LIKE ME. RESPECTFULLY, GARY D. My husband came home from taking a class with Marshall and was all excited! He asked me if I wanted to take a course that would be teach me how to shoot. It was called the TDSA's Ladies Only Class and is their Introduction to Firearms course for women. I have shot some in the past with my husband but we found out early on that a husband and wife can't teach each other things the way a professional instructor can. So, I said yes. I said yes because I wanted to learn more about shooting and handling a firearm. I was very confortable in the class setting and the instructors were very personable and answered all of our questions. (Even the ones we really didn't want to ask outloud!) The class was GREAT and I feel 100X better about handling and shooting my gun. My confidence level is so much higher and I feel like I could go shoot a match with my husband and do pretty good (of course this is my own opinion, not his!) LOL! So, if you ladies have ever even thought about taking a class to learn more about guns and how to handle them, this one is a MUST! Thanks again Marshall, Shane and Sam. You guys were great! I can't wait until the next available ladies class. SIGN ME UP! Angela Meek |

| I recently attended the TDSA Urban Rifle School in Sands Springs. What I learned at this school was increadible. I am a police officer with 13 years experience, I currently hold the position of Sergeant, SWAT Team Commander and Firearms Instructor. I have over 10 years experience as a SWAT operator and almost 5 years as a CLEET Firearms Instructor (handgun/shotgun/rifle). I have attended many specalized schools includding schools put on by Delta Force Operators and special ops folks. I have never attended a school where I did not learn something or come away with a new respect for the gun I was training with. This school held to the same standard. I have always felt comfortable with my Colt AR-15 and found it to be my choice weapon when going into a hot zone. I have always felt comforatble with my skill level and shooting abilities. Now with that all said when I attended the TDSA class it was like someone flicked a light on and I could see in the dark. Billy and Wade taught me more about tactics with the AR-15 than I would have thought possible. I possessed the shooting skills but realized that I was really lacking in the area of tactics. What I learned impressed me so much that I set aside time to teach these tactics to my SWAT team. Everyone on the SWAT team was as impressed as I was. These tactics are increadible and many of these tactics can be transitioned to your handgun. I highly recommend this class to anyone who carries a gun for a living, wants to know how to operate their assault rifle and depends on a gun to save their life. I would be personally happy to speak with anyone who has any questions about this school, just give me a call at the Stillwater Police Department 405-372-4171. |

Just some quick feedback from the Urban Rifle class. I've read some of the feedback and everyone is covering the essentials of the class.....good instructors, good drills, good weather! I wanted to again remind everyone of the amenities that you get.....Marshall provides tents and refreshments and instructors that pretty much have anything you've ever heard of to try......but, keep it simple, right Wade? ha! I am a Tulsa Police officer and firearms instructor, but had very limited rifle experience. The most challenging thing to get down was the transition to the "uneducated" side. I was also impressed with the modified prone and expect I that I can use these at work. For all the girls or older folk that may be considering this class, I can assure you that it's "do-able". They run two relays and it's a nice break to re-load and semi-rest. It's just the right amount of challenge. Thanks for all the hard work. Good class. |

I want to thank Marshall for inviting me to the Urban Assault Rifle Course. The course is well designed for individuals who need/want good practical exercise with a long gun. The cadre involved were patient and professional in all aspects of the training. Safety was paramount and stressed at all times. I found alot of shortcomings with my own handling of the M-4 but through explanation and repetition I was able to overcome these obstacles and become more comfortable shooting and moving with the weapon. That is a direct reflection of the training I received from this course. I highly recommend the course to other agencies wanting to better their people in the fine art of shooting. Special thanks to Wade and Billy. You guys are above reproach. Best Regards, Rick Lytle Tulsa County Sheriff Office P.s. One word of advice if you do go to this school....STRETCH!!! I wanted to personally thank Marshall for inviting me down to attend TDSA’s Carbine Course. I really enjoyed meeting the various folks associated with TDSA. Very refreshing to hang with a group of folks that know what they are doing but don’t act like it. They are personable, enthusiastic, humble and skillful at what they do. I would highly recommend this training crew if you want to improve your personal skills with firearms. The course was the right combination of lecture, practical demonstration as well as chocked full of useful drilling practices that you can take with you. Best to everyone who attended and the teaching staff at TDSA. On a final note….Stay away from the restaurant “Spudders” even if Marshall insists that you go!!! Our insides paid for it dearly that evening and into the next day! Take care. Respectfully, Ken J. Good |

- 09/10/04 | For those of you have have taken AP-1, or are considering taking AP-1, let me share this one training expericen I had at H&K. I attended a Tacticla Pistol School recently in Fairfax, Virginia. My expericen with TDSA enabled me to "push the envelop" to the point hwere the instructor staff had to stop and ask what I was doing. Target transition, for me, was so fast and smooth that I nearlt started teaching TDSA after hours. This school was consituted by some of "the best" SOT operators in the United States. TDSA is nunquam segundum: Second to None, when it comes to the tactical pistol. The TDSA staff gave me some special gifts. I just wanted you all to know that they were not squandered. They paid off! Big time... Thanks Marsh. I love ya, man... |

I had the great honor of attending one of the best -- if not the best -- Urban Rifle School in the country (Sept 4/5, 2004). Billy Smith and Wade Rorick did a marvelous job of teaching street relevant techniques to a well constituted class of law enforcement professionals who were, to say the least, hungry for useful information. In fact, one of the best rifle shooters in the world was in attendence: Shannon Jordan, of the Stillwater, OK, Police Department. Watching Shannon's body language merely affirmed my own evaluation of the course at hand. The class was challenging, exciting, and well worth the investment -- in more ways than one. Seal Teams member, Ken Wood, was in attendence: his cogent analysis and insigtful comments made an extremely interesting class, even more interesting -- and meaningful. Marshall Luton, TDSA-Tulsa's Fearless Leader, did his usual stand-up job of coordination and class management of what turned out to be a truly extraordinary training experience. To all those who look forward to training that is a cut above, I highly recommend this class. Down Time was minimumal. This was a "Do" for "Do-ers" rifle calss. Even old guys can participate in the fun. Techniques were broken down into chewable bits of information eaily digested by all. Billy Smith teaches in a "progressive, part/whole" method that adult learners can relate to rather well. Very articulate, professional, talented, and personalbe, Billy holds nothing back. He gives it up! Wade Rorick is truly one of the best training assests in the country. A native of South Africa, Wade's expreince as a police officer/trainer comes through in his buisness-like -- yet very appraochable -- demeanor that, for me at least, is as refreshing as it is necessary. Wade is not one to discuss the subjects of education and training. It became apparent to me that, for Wade, there is no such thing. It's clear to me that for Wade, education is not a subject, nor does it deal in subjects. Rather, he sees education and training as a life style, a way of living, a way TO live. Wade leads from the front! He demonstrates the technique, performs with precision, and he practices his skills with an eye toward perfection. He inspires confidence! (This guy can ride in my car!) I've been in law enforcement for thirty years. Twenty-five of those years have been spent as a firearms and defensive tactics trainer. You might say that I've been around the block a few times. I'm going to take this class, again. It was just that good. If you have a rifle (or carbine) that you depend upon for defensive tasks, THIS IS THE CLASS FOR YOU!!! Thank you gentlemen. Well done! |

| This summer Marshall told me he was having an Urban Rifle school and asked if I could attend. I knew that if the rifle school was anything like the TDSA pistol course that I had just completed, It would be top notch and well worth the money. As with all of Marshall's schools, I was not disapointed. I am a Stillwater Police Officer, Police firearms instructor and I compete on the All Guard International Combat rifle and pistol team. I have competed all over the world and won several National and International championships. Needless to say I am not easily impressed. The Urban Rifle school impressed me. Wade Rorich and Billy Smith's proffesionalism and tactical expertise are beyond reproach. They lead by example.I learned more in two days of this school than I have during a week at other schools. Every five minutes during the course I found myself thinking "Wow, I will really use that when I get back to work".The course was run at a pace that everyone could stay with yet there was no wasted down time. The most important part is the material they teach will save your life and the lives of others. I highly recommend that everyone attend this school. You owe it to yourselves, your family and the community that you protect. |

I also recently attended the Urban Rifle Course hosted by TDSA-Tulsa and found it to be top-notch. As a State Law Enforcement Officer, I have attended numerous firearm training courses on the student and instructor level and found this course to be one of the best ones yet. The information presented was very useful and was demonstrated in a practical manner. Wade Rorich and Billy Smith were very professional and excellent instructors. Marshall and Strategos International President Ken Good also provided excellent information through out the course as well. This was the first TDSA-Tulsa course that I attended and I plan on going back as I was 100% satisfied. Thank you Wade, Billy, Ken and Marshall. Jeremy Engel |

I have to agree with everything that has been said so far concerning the Urban Rifle Course that occurred this past weekend with TDSA-Tulsa. A great job by both Instructors Billy Smith and Wade Rorich. These guys are consumate professionals with a passion for teaching that shows in everything they do. They put their money where there mouth is and did not ask their students to do anything that they couldn't do themselves. With most Police Departments implementing Patrol Rifle Courses for their Officers it would behoove you to take this course in preparation for Qualification. If you missed it, don't make that same mistake again. For those interested the next class is in October and I plan on attending again as you just can't get enough of a good thing in my opinion. I just completed the Urban Rifle Course provided by TDSA and the experience was fantastic. This course is a must for anyone regardless of experience level. I noticed all levels of experience on the range and the Staff made it challenging for everyone involved. There was the right balance of short instructional sessions followed by practical application on the range. I would give the excellent TDSA Staff an A Plus. The Staff remained enthusiastic and highly motivated throughout this two-day course. The high points for me were the transition drills, reloading, shooting while moving, and tips on improving my shooting platform. I really enjoyed the pre and post-tests, what a blast! I felt very confident in my shooting ability going into this class but soon found that I could learn so much more. I’ll be back! Duffy McAnallen Tulsa County S.W.A.T. |

Having been an instructor with TDSA for many years now it was great to change hats and take last weekends's Urban Rifle School as a student. Marshall is constantly searching for the most qualified instructors in their respective fields to augment the TDSA staff. I believe he hit a homerun with Billy and Wade. Billy and Wade complemented each other perfectly. Billy's practical knowledge of the rifle/carbine combined with Wade's mastery of different shooting positions resulted in an excellent class. Both were enthusiastic throughout the class and did anything they possibly could to assist each and every student. Also, a special thanks to the President of Strategos International, Ken Good. In summation, to any Officer, Soldier, or Civilian interested in improving their skill level with a carbine one tip -- take this class. There is not a better or more economical class offered anywhere. Thanks again to Marshall, Wade, Billy, and a special thanks to Todd for allowing us use of your facilities. Brian Hill |

| As a Police Officer I am always on the lookout for better training in order to develop myself as an Officer. Most notably the ones that will get me home at night. Due to the threats that are growing in today's environment my department is planning to allow Officers to carry the AR-15. I felt it was my responsibility to gather as much training as I could get with my weapon. I discovered that training with TDSA Urban rifle class. The training I received was second to none. Although the class is not for beginners I was received openly and given the help needed in order to learn the basics of my weapon. From there the class started with a bang! It opened me to a whole new world of tactical training. Training that not only covered my long gun as a primary weapon but how to use my handgun as a secondary. The mind set is not one of just throwing lead down range but the handling and movement of ones' weapons. As a Police Officer my goals during a shift are to serve and protect. I do this through training that was developed to save lives including my own. I feel that TDSA Urban Rifle class gave me that. Thank you!! |

Once again we (TDSA Tulsa) hit another grand slam! This weekend marked our first Law Enforcement/Military Tactical Carbine and Urban Rifle Course and it over went extremely well. The primary instructors, Billy Smith, a Federal Firearms Instructor with the Dept. of Energy and Wade Rorich of Strategos International, were simply incredible. These guys most definitely know their stuff and they know how to present the material in such a way that everyone can track what they are saying. The course covered a plethora of information ranging from simple tasks like speed reloads, weapon malfunction drills, to more difficult schools of thought such as bilateral shooting and primary to secondary weapon transitions. We covered all kinds of shooting platforms such as: standing, squatting, kneeling, sitting, prone, modified prone, roll-over prone, scuba prone and many others. We learned how to transition from shoulder to shoulder, conduct reloads on the move, how to manuever in and around cover and barricades, how to transition from our rifles to our pistols and the advantages and disadvantages of using a sling. We covered everything from precision marksmanship to combat oriented Urban Warfare Tactics. Although our course is not designed to teach tactics, the students (most of whom were SWAT trained Law Enforcement Officers) could not help but to pick up fantastic techniques that could be used on the job as cops. The techniques I speak of can and ARE used in close quarter combat situations such as inside houses as well as other situations like displacement and disappearing from the attackers field of view while maintaining the ability to engage. How bout that! All these things were state of the art techniques and were taught by two of the finest instructors in the country. I cannot say enough about Billy and Wade. They made a fantastic team and complimented each other very well. The class ended up being almost a "Who's Who" of firearms/tactics instructors. We had a Navy S.E.A.L. (retired), U.S. Marines, U.S. Army, Air Force, SWAT and Special Operations Team members and firearms instructors from Tulsa Police, Tulsa County, Columbia P.D., Stillwater, Skiatook, representatives from CLEET and many others. Everyone seemed to have a ball. We worked well together and learned tons of great, valuable, life-saving information. What's funny is, I know of now other agency or training organization that teach these techniques. The price could have been doubled and it still would have been below any other organizations tuition costs. I think a few were overwhelmed to say the least. The rest of us were too excited about the school to even notice. Overall the school was one of the best we've ever put on. I attribute this to countless hours of preparation and a wealth of knowledge that both Billy and Wade brought with them. Thanks guys for an incredible time! I can't wait for the October Urban Rifle Course! It's gonna be great too. God bless the peace keepers! Marshall Luton Director of Operations TDSA Tulsa |

| I just attended the 4th and 5th Urban Rifle School and what an experience. The two days were filled with a lot of shooting and a lot of new techniques. Wade and Billy are very talented, experienced, and professional instructors. The tools and techniques taught this past weekend are a must for any law enforcement officer who carries a sub gun or carbine. The tools they gave me this weekend will save my life if I ever have to use them. |

I JUST SURVIVED THE TACTICAL CARBINE AND URBAN RIFLE COURSE HOSTED BY TDSA TULSA. MARSHALL HAS THE UNIQUE ABILITY OF SURROUNDING HIMSELF WITH GREAT INSTRUCTORS AND RANGE STAFF. WADE AND BILLY WERE FANTASTIC AND BROUGHT TOGETHER 2 DIFFERENT STYLES OF TEACHING TO KEEP THE CLASS INTERESTED. AS A LONG TIME LAW ENFORCEMENT FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR AND AS AS PATROL RIFLE OPERATOR I FOUND THE COURSE MATERIAL VERY BENEFICAL. ONCE AGAIN ANOTHER GREAT COURSE HOSTED BY TDSA TULSA. GREAT CLASS GUYS!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! |

Just completed the TDSA Tulsa Tactical Carbine & Urban Rifle Course. Fantastic course! Instructors Billy and Wade along with Marshall and the crew were very helpful in putting on a well organized two-day course. The course curriculem was challenging and benificial to use of the tactical carbine in an urban law enforcement enviroment. GOOD JOB guys! I plan on enrolling in additional TDSA Tulsa courses. |

| Ladies, I highly recommend, if you are interested in not only defending yourself but your children and family, to consider taking Marshall's class @ TDSA. God forbid you would ever be in a circumstance or situation that called for defensive and life saving skills but this is a violent world and getting more so each day. I was raised with guns, mostly sport shooting and daddy taught me at the age of 10 not only how to use a gun but respect for firearms. He said a women needed to know how to protect herself even more than a man did. Little did he know the world we would all being walking in today. If you are going to use shooting as a means of self defense it has to be second nature to you. Marshall and his instructors not only emphasize safety and mechanics of firearams, they teach "defensive" shooting techniques that could be the difference "in a matter of seconds" in saving your life should you ever be put in a situation of using dealy force in order to save and/or protect yourself or one of your loved ones. This all sounds very serious as it should, but Marshall's class takes something very serious and teaches it in a way that gets your attention, you have fun, and easily remember the things he and his staff teach. He makes it become a second nature. "Slack Out" among many others. Use it or lose it. I will be using it and will reinforce his teachings by going back as well as recommending Marshall's TDSA class to family and friends. Our lives may just some day depend on it. Thanks, Marshall. |

I am a 27 year Police officer (retired). I have been to many different handgun schools, taught by a variety of instructors. Having just completed TDSA's level 1 course on July 24/25, I would rate TDSA as the best I have been to. I was also impressed at the ratio of instructers/students. Safety was stressed from beginning to end and was never a concearn. I highly recommend TDSA regardless of your currnt level of ability. If I were a Chief or Sheriff, my entire agency would recieve the TDSA training annually. My wife and teenage daughter , neither of which are shooters are enrolled in the upcomming womans course. I will sign up for additional courses as they are offered. Rick Phillips TPD Retired Owner OPS |

I also attended the training class that Marshall and his crew put on July 24-25. All that I can say is what the others in the class have said but you can not belive the training until you have done it. Marshall and his people were nothing more than great, they commend you when you do good and tell you what you did wrong when you screw up. It is alot of information to absorb in two short days but with a week behind me I can say that it is the best money that I have spent on training. Above all, the entire class is done with the one thing that Marshall was very made clear from the first and that was to have fun, and I really did. No matter what your skill level, I belive that anyone can improve from this class !! Thanks again Marshall and staff !!! Rob Elston |

I am a 21 year Marine vet. During that time I carryed a .45, .357, 9mm and was assigned to Recon, State Dept, Military Police and others where a pistol was both a primary and secondary weapon. I had been through what I thought had been "top notch" training from instructors within the military, federal government, and other well known "combat pistol schools". I honestly state that I have learned and applied more about markesmanship from these two days with Marshall and his outstanding staff than ANY others! TDSA does not teach tactics but how to better use a pistol. I improved much better than I ever thought possible which was the same for all throughout the course. With this greater proficiency come greater confidence while carrying a pistol. This course is the answer to the question of how to insure all pistol owners are proficient users of their weapon. Without compunction I recommend this course to all regardless of experience (we had users ranging from no experience to seasoned law enforcement officers). Thank you and Semper Fi |
